I thoroughly enjoyed this book, but not quite as much as the first. There were the typical hilarious parts that made me laugh loudly as I was reading, but it didn't seem quite as engaging as the first. I can't quite put my finger on "why." Alas, the show WILL go on, because I'm quite invested in the future of Carl, Donut, Mordecai, and Mongo.

It was goofy, incredibly ridiculous, and one of the few books that had me literally laughing myself to tears as I read. As the friend who recommended the book said to me: It reads like a ridiculous TTRPG campaign from a super-twisted GM with raunchy humor. I love my High Fantasy series like LotR, The Wheel of Time, The Cosmere, etc. But sometimes a good bit of humor fantasy is in order. This hit the spot so much better than I expected it to.
