If you're not a mathematician, this reading will be brutal. It will make you feel extremely dumb. I am a programmer, I love functional programming and I wanted to get into category theory and the first few pages were very insightful, but it got extremely complex extremely quickly and I got completely lost around the middle of the book. Didn't finish. Plan to return to it in the near future and give it a second attempt. This is not meant as a criticism. You probably cannot find a more ease-to-read book about category theory. The concept is simply that complicated.

LLMs are such a huge technological revolution of this decade that completely everyone on this planet should read this. If only to skip the chapters and read only the summary and the end of each one. That alone will give you a lot of necessary information to understand LLMs better and therefore use them more effectively. And most importantly: safer.

This book described an extremely fascinating historical period and as usual you are going to learn a lot. I enjoyed the story quite a lot, however. I feel like this time Ken got kinda to an extreme with the villains being almost at a diabolical inhumane level and the constant suffering of the good guys was almost unbearable. A little bit too black and white. But still fun.

Very disappointing. I bought this because I was working on a Flutter application, which was also my very first native mobile project. I wanted to learn especially about iOS and Swift, because that was by far the most unknown world to me. And sure, I learnt some basics, cool, but then it basically became a very boring reference documentation of all the Swift components and in-depth overview of the god forsaken abomination that is the Xcode.
