I love the comedic nature of this book! Out covers some really heavy things, but the various silly things Brennan thinks makes me feel like I'm not alone in my own mental health struggles.

Overall, I really enjoyed Lilith's Brood. But Imago wasn't my favorite. Mostly, because like the first two novels, it left me with more questions than answers. I wonder if Imago, like Earthseed, went unfinished.

I ache for Akin. He was a bright child with a friendly disposition. His natural connection to his paid sibling was stolen from him; first, by strangers, then, by his own people. I wish we had gotten to see him into his adulthood.

Dawn was my favorite part of the whole series. The strangeness, xenophobic horror, the regret/guilt of an entire species. Later, you begin to understand just how broken humanity is in the real world today. Our heroine, Lilith, becomes the mother of a new world, for better or worse.

Good follow up to Sower. But leaves the reader wanting more. So sad Butler never got to finish the series.

This book has stayed with me. I find myself thinking about it often. Immediately got me hooked on Octavia E Butler!

In my eyes, Anyanwu turned out to be the Goddess she once claimed to be. Great start! I'm so excited to read the rest of the series.
